Steve Bruce has plenty of decisions to make when it comes to selecting his Aston Villa starting eleven to face former side Hull City on Saturday evening.
The two sides meet at Villa Park in the first round of Championship matches of 2017-18, in which Bruce will want his side to start with a win as the Midlands outfit targets promotion.
Bruce has completed moves for former England and Chelsea captain John Terry, powerful veteran Chris Samba and right-back Ahmed El-Mohamady from Hull.
However, he has waved goodbye to Nathan Baker, who has joined Championship rivals Bristol City this summer in what is a major defensive reshuffle ahead of the 2017-18 season.
Bruce has plenty to consider when picking his strongest back four in what will be a difficult test against a Hull side boasting attacking talents such as Kamil Grosicki, Abel Hernandez and Adama Diomande.
