‘We are talking…’ – Tottenham expert issues takeover claim after source’s reveal in last hours
Alan Hutton has suggested Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis could be convinced of a full takeover of Tottenham “if the price is right”.
But, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and Aston Villa defender warned that “the grass is not always greener”.
MSP Capital, a private equity firm fronted by Iranian-American financier Jahm Najafi, is believed to be working on a £3.1bn offer to buy the London club in full.

According to the Evening Standard (20 February), chairman Levy and owner Lewis are undecided as to whether they want to listen to offers for the whole club, sell a minority stake or remain in complete control.
Levy is said to have held conversations with a number of interested parties in recent months but all are believed to be exploratory as the pair decide on a course of action.
On Monday (20 February), sources told Football Insider that the takeover value of the Lilywhites could soar to £3.3billion if they show investors their potential in the US market.
When asked if a takeover of Spurs is likely, Hutton told Football Insider: “If the price is right.
“We will have to wait and see. I do not think there is anything on the table at this moment in time.
“We are talking about a lot of money and I think if they hit the number that Lewis and Daniel Levy would accept then you never know.

“The foundations are there with the stadium, the training ground, the quality within the squad already. Are they looking to kick on and spend that big money like Man City and Chelsea then maybe they need an owner like that.
“I think it has been run very well for a good number of years now and the grass is not always greener.“
In other news, Agbonlahor can’t believe Richarlison could quit Tottenham for Euro giants in cut-price deal.
