‘West Ham 100% sacking Julen Lopetegui’ after Arsenal humiliation – reaction
West Ham United fans have demanded that Julen Lopetegui be sacked this weekend on the back of their 5-2 humiliation against London rivals Arsenal at the London Stadium.
The Irons were blown away by Mikel Arteta’s side in a frantic first half that saw all seven of the game’s goals take place.
Arsenal had gone 4-0 up after goals from Gabriel Magalhaes, Leandro Trossard, Martin Odegaard, and Kai Havertz before the Hammers mounted a comeback as Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Emerson Palmieri found the back of the net.
However, just as Lopetegui’s side were getting back into the game a foul from Lukasz Fabianski allowed Bukayo Saka to put the fixture beyond them from the penalty spot.
The result was West Ham’s sixth defeat of the season in the Premier League and left the club 14th in the table with a -7 goal difference.
The club have a six-point gap between them and the relegation zone, but the pressure is mounting on Lopetegui to turn things around with an immediate effect.

Lopetegui only took charge of the Hammers during the summer after David Moyes parted ways with the club, but it has been a difficult transition since then.
However, supporters are demanding that the board take action immediately as they believe the current team is “atrocious.”
