West Ham on brink of ‘bargain’ Zouma signing as medical completed – Whelan
West Ham are on the brink of completing a “bargain” signing in Kurt Zouma.
Thay is the view of ex-Milwall striker Noel Whelan, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 26-year-old Chelsea centre-back.
Sky Sports reported on 27 August that the Frenchman has undergone a medical ahead of a proposed £25million move to the London Stadium.

Zouma, who has two years left on his Stanford Bridge contract, would become West Ham’s second permanent signing of the summer.
And Whelan lauded Hammers boss David Moyes for his reportedly imminent capture of the defender.
“It looks like a quality bit of business,” he told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge.
“He always knows what he’s doing with defenders, David Moyes. That’s been the thing that he has brought to West Ham.
“He doesn’t just chance it and buy players because they’re available, he makes sure they are the right players for the squad.
“It must have felt like a breath of fresh air being a West Ham fan and watching how they played the other night against a good Leicester side.
“They look really strong and this is only going to add to the quality that they have at the back. There is real competition for places now.

“The good thing is that it’s £25m. That’s a bargain for a quality centre-half in the current climate.
“He knows the Premier League already and he’s played in Europe so he can handle those European nights.”
