West Ham backed to seal late flurry of signings after ‘huge’ development – pundit
West Ham could announce a late flurry of signings after moving away from the bottom three in the Premier League.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Scots’ future.
Moyes bought himself time with a 2-0 win over fellow strugglers Everton on Saturday (21 January), who sacked Frank Lampard on the back of that result.
The Hammers have only signed Danny Ings this month and he picked up an injury during that win over the Toffees.
McManus is expecting a late flurry of transfers at the London Stadium after the morale-boosting win.
“The Ings signing was great, it’s a good move,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“That was the only one though and we know they could do with a couple more. Could we see a few late arrivals?
“I think that’s definitely a possibility. I like what Moyes is doing there and he must have bought himself some money in the bank.
“I think he would have been sacked if it was him who lost that huge game against Everton. Luckily, he didn’t and he lives to fight another day.
“So let’s see what happens. I think they could do with a defender and maybe a solid midfield player. There is still time to get something done and maybe the board will sanction some deals they were thinking about now there is a bit of room.
“Let’s see what happens but I can see it happening.”

West Ham are now 16th in the Premier League.
They are next in action against Derby County on Monday (30 January).
