West Ham backed to seal top-six finish after update on multiple new signings – Agbonlahor
Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed West Ham could finish in the Europa League spots next season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Aston Villa striker said the Hammers can improve on last season if they are proactive in the summer transfer market.
According to the Evening Standard (20 June), the London club are interested in making six more signings during the summer.
The club have already confirmed the signings of defender Nayef Aguerd from Rennes and goalkeeper Alphonse Areola from Paris Saint-Germain on permanent deals.
Jesse Lingard has also been heavily linked with a return to the London Stadium following the expiration of his contract at Man United.
Chelsea striker Armando Broja is another name on the Irons’ shortlist following a successful loan spell at Southampton.
David Moyes is keen to sign competition and cover for Michail Antonio ahead of next season.
When asked by Football Insider if he thought West Ham will be able to push for top six next season, Agbonlahor said: “If they have a busy summer then I think they can do.
“I think it might be harder next season with other teams improving but I don’t see any reason why not.
“I feel that they’ve got the good base there and they will be looking at the top definitely.“

The Hammers finished seventh in the Premier League last season.
They will compete in next term’s Europa Conference League.
