Kieran Maguire: Daniel Kretinsky is not in charge at West Ham amid source’s takeover reveal
David Gold and David Sullivan are still in charge of day-to-day operations at West Ham as Daniel Kretinsky continues to take a backseat.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the latest news from behind the scenes at the London Stadium.
Kretinsky currently owns 27 per cent of the Hammers, while Sullivan and Gold hold 38.8 and 25.1 per cent respectively.

The Czech billionaire had been widely tipped to take a controlling stake in April next year following the expiration of a windfall tax clause agreed between the London Stadium landlords and the GSB regime.
A West Ham source has told Football Insider that the 47-year-old’s cash is currently tied up elsewhere and he has no immediate plans to up his stake in the club.
Maguire claims that Kretinsky is likely leaving most of the decision-making to Gold and Sullivan too.
“Kretinsky’s investment and management style tends to be that of a minority shareholder,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“He lets the existing management of a company get on with things. Only if there is noticeable underperformance does he start to voice his concerns.

“So, while there does appear to be a bit of a Mexican stand-off taking place between Kretinsky and the Gold and Sullivan stake, I don’t see there being any boardroom disputes.
“I think West Ham’s owners will be looking at what happens at Liverpool and Man United before making any decision about increasing or decreasing their investment in the club.”
