West Ham could sign Edouard as Leicester talks break down - pundit
Noel Whelan insists West Ham can still sign Odsonne Edouard this summer after his potential move to Leicester City broke down.
The former Leeds hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claims Celtic want to cash in on their striker.
Edouard was expected to sign for the Foxes but talks have stalled and, as revealed by Football Insider on 19th June, that has opened the door for West Ham to swoop.
This site also revealed on 16th June the Hoops are in talks with Sunderland striker Charlie Wyke about a long-term deal.
Whelan insists Celtic’s interest in Wyke proves Edouard will still be sold this summer.

“Celtic want money in the bank,” Whelan told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs.
“The new manager also needs to know who he’s working with.
“He [Edouard] has one year left on his contract and there’s been massive speculation about Leicester.
“He’s 23 and he’s a player who can definitely do it in the Premier League. He has that quality.
“It’s going to be tough, I know getting deals done is very tedious and they can drag on longer than expected.
“It’s hard to keep him now, with the speculation from Premier League clubs and after that terrible season last year.
“I still think Edouard will go, that’s why they are looking at Charlie Wyke.”
Wyke was outstanding for Sunderland last season, scoring 30 goals in 53 appearances.
The Black Cats failed to get out of League One at the third time of asking as they lost in the playoffs once again.
