West Ham could sign ‘next Jarrod Bowen’ after transfer update – expert
West Ham could sign the next Jarrod Bowen in Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall, according to Paul Robinson.
The former Tottenham and England number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested Hammers boss David Moyes could develop Worrall, 25, into an established Premier League player.
According to Claret & Hugh (14 March), West Ham are in pole position to win the race to sign the 25-year-old this summer.
It is said that the Irons could use left-back Emmanuel Longelo as a makeweight in a potential deal.
Worrall ‘s contract at the City Ground runs until the summer of 2024.
Robinson heaped praise on David Moyes for his scouting on England’s second tier.
“His recruitment from the Championship has been exceptional,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“It is not a signing that would excite West Ham fans though, let’s be honest.
“They have been linked with the likes of Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips. Those are the kind of players they need to sign if they’re to get into the Champions League spots.
“Worrall could be the next Jarrod Bowen in the sense that he is a player Moyes could develop.
“West Ham need to recruit heavily in the summer window. They have missed out badly in the last two windows.”

The Hammers signed Jarrod Bowen from Hull City on 31 January 2020.
The winger has contributed 21 goals and 21 assists in 92 appearances across all competitions.
