West Ham fans ‘annoyed’ with Moyes amid ‘incredible’ claim – pundit

West Ham fans will be “annoyed” with David Moyes’ approach to their side’s loss to Man United.

That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Irons’ latest loss.

West Ham lost 1-0 to Man United at Old Trafford on Sunday (30 October) thanks to Marcus Rashford’s first-half header.

In the final ten minutes of the game, the Hammers turned the screw and forced David de Gea into a number of crucial saves.

McManus insists David Moyes’ side should not have been so conservative against a poor Man United side.

“Man United are beatable at the moment,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.

“I thought West Ham were excellent in the second half and I do think they were unlucky to not come away with anything.

“It took them so long to get going and they didn’t really have a go in the first half, if they had then they might have got something out of the game.

“De Gea was in incredible form to be fair to him, he stopped West Ham getting anything from that game. But when you see how Man United were hanging on at the end, where was that in the first half?

“I think the fans will be annoyed at that to be honest. I saw before the game that Moyes’ record at Old Trafford is really poor, even as Man United manager and that was not going to change on Sunday.

“I’m sure he is happy with the performance but at the end of the day that doesn’t matter because they got beat.”
