West Ham fans in love with star after what he did vs Burnley: ‘He could get a deck chair and a cigar out’
West Ham breathed further life into their survival fight with a 2-0 win away at Burnley on Saturday afternoon.
The Hammers are fighting for their lives at the foot of the Premier League table, but their latest run of three wins in their last four league games has brought them renewed hope of beating the drop.
Crysencio Summerville scored the opener for West Ham in the early stages at Burnley, before Taty Castellanos’ strike saw them into half-time with a two-goal cushion, which their hosts failed to threaten.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side appear transformed from the team that had won just three league games all season before the turn of the year, and fans are loving the newfound confidence that their side are showing.

West Ham fans rave about Axel Disasi after Burnley display
Axel Disasi was heavily linked with West Ham throughout the January transfer window, and they finally got a deal over the line for him on deadline day.
The Frenchman had been part of the ‘bomb squad’ at Chelsea alongside the likes of Raheem Sterling, and hadn’t featured in a competitive senior game for the Blues since last April.
However, that did little to prevent Nuno from throwing his new loanee in at the deep end on Saturday, as he started alongside Konstantinos Mavropanos at the heart of the Irons’ defence.

Disasi caught the eye with a calm and composed defensive display in Lancashire, and West Ham fans have already fallen in love with their new arrival.
Fans took to X to share their delight at the 27-year-old’s performance, with one fan suggesting that he could “get a deck chair and a cigar out,” such was the composure of his display, while he was also referred to as an “absolute brick wall.”
Another supporter called Disasi’s debut “superb,” while there were plenty of shouts for West Ham to sign him permanently at the end of the season.
- @NWLondonHammer: “Honestly looks like he’s been in the squad for years!”
- @lewiselleutd: “Disasi could save us. He was solid today, just what we need.”
- @hammerhead5927: “Disasi MILES BETTER than Kilman, and he hasn’t even played for a year!”
West Ham’s next five games compared to Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest were beaten away at Leeds United on Friday night, meaning that West Ham’s victory at Turf Moor was the perfect response to their rivals’ success.
The East Londoners are now within touching distance of Forest, with the gap between their nearest relegation rivals now down to just three points.
| West Ham | Date | Forest |
| Man United (H) | 10 Feb – 11 Feb | Wolves (H) |
| Bournemouth (H) | 21 Feb – 22 Feb | Liverpool (H) |
| Liverpool (A) | 28 Feb – 1 March | Brighton (A) |
| Fulham (A) | 4 March | Man City (A) |
| Man City (H) | 14 March | Fulham (H) |
However, Nuno’s side face a difficult run in their next five games, and they will have to do everything in their power to ensure that the gap doesn’t return to where it has been of late.
Clashes with Liverpool and both Manchester clubs are on the horizon for the London Stadium outfit in the coming weeks, while Forest face home games against Wolves and Fulham in that time.
Leeds, Tottenham and Crystal Palace are also far from out of the relegation picture, but West Ham can have no doubt that it is Forest who they are truly chasing at the moment.
