West Ham fans told to ‘trust’ Moyes amid ‘surprise’ Keane swoop – expert
Noel Whelan has insisted David Moyes is capable of getting the best out of Michael Keane again if West Ham complete a “surprise” swoop this summer.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, urged Irons fans to “trust the process” amid links to the 29-year-old.
According to the Daily Star (23 April), West Ham are plotting a move for Keane if Everton drop into the Championship – with the England international likely to cost around £20million.

The report claims Moyes is a “big admirer” of the former Man United defender.
Keane has made the joint-most errors leading to an opponent goal this term – with two.
Whelan hailed Moyes’ transfer record since returning to the London Stadium.
“This season has been disappointing from Keane’s point of view,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“He’s gone from the verge of England squads to on the cusp of relegation. It’s a complete contrast – and I’m surprised to see West Ham in for him.
“The confidence and belief has just drained from the Everton players. He’s just made far too many mistakes, and mistakes like that are why they are down the bottom.
“But then again, we’ve seen David Moyes do this kind of thing before. I’m sure he can get the best out of Keane again, but the fans will just have to trust the process.
“Every signing he has made has been some kind of success for West Ham since he came back to the club.”

West Ham sit seventh but can secure Champions League football by winning the Europa League.
Keane is under contract at Everton until 2025.
