West Ham news: Pundit issues ‘massive’ verdict on Michail Antonio starting v Sevilla after latest
West Ham will start Michail Antonio in Thursday’s clash against Sevilla even if he is only 50% fit, according to Kevin Campbell.
The former Arsenal striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 31-year-old will “want to play” with the Hammers having a “real opportunity” to progress in the Europa League.
Antonio limped off in the second half as West Ham defeated Aston Villa 2-1 on Sunday (13 March) with a thigh injury.

Club insiders Claret & Hugh claimed yesterday (15 March) that the Jamaica international has been given a “50/50 chance” of being fit for the Europa League showdown against Sevilla on Thursday (17 March).
Antonio has netted 10 goals for West Ham this term.
Campbell insisted the striker’s potential absence would be a “massive blow” for the Irons.
“It would be a massive blow if he were to be out,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“He’s so key to what they do and how they play, even when he’s not scoring goals.
“He’s got so much pace and power – and he’s so versatile. Not only does he occupy defenders through the middle, but he can move out wide and produce some real quality in wide areas as well.
“I think if it’s 50/50 then he will be playing against Sevilla. It’s a massive game. If it’s any worse than that, then obviously they won’t take that risk.
“He’ll want to play. They’ve got a real opportunity to go up against one of the most successful sides in Europe and knock them out.”

Antonio is yet to miss a single Premier League game through injury this term.
West Ham are 1-0 down going into Thursday’s tie after losing the first leg in Seville.
