West Ham news: Pundit makes ‘hypocrite’ claim after latest on sacking Kurt Zouma
Kevin Campbell has rubbished suggestions Kurt Zouma should be sacked by West Ham after a “terrible” video emerged of the defender abusing his cat.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker questioned where the line is drawn when it comes to animal cruelty.
On Wednesday (9 February), the Irons confirmed Zouma has been fined the “maximum amount possible” for his actions.

Speaking on talkSPORT (8 February), ex-England goalkeeper Chris Kirkland called for the centre-half to be sacked.
However, that night Zouma started in a 1-0 win over Watford at the London Stadium.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the latest, Campbell said: “It looks terrible.
“You are talking to a hypocrite though. I can say that’s animal cruelty and yet there is pictures of me in leather jackets, I have a leather belt and I eat meat. Where do you draw the line?
“Listen, it doesn’t look good. The video was appalling, I totally get that.

“You are talking to a hypocrite though because I eat meat. Maybe people have to tell me. Where is the line? We need to be careful.
“Kurt Zouma will regret it, that is for sure. To call for him to be sacked? He’s not going to be sacked for it. He is going to apologise and be fined but to be sacked over it? Come one now.”
