West Ham news: Said Benrahma and two senior teammates ‘on the brink’ of being sold after update – Agbonlahor
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Said Benrahma, Pablo Fornals and Manuel Lanzini are “on the brink” of being replaced by West Ham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed West Ham will need more goalscoring forwards over the summer if they want to compete for a European place next season.
Benrahma, 26, scored his ninth goal of the season in the Hammers’ limp 3-1 defeat to Tottenham on Sunday (20 March).
As quoted by football.london after the game, David Moyes claimed the Algeria international has now “come back to life”.
Moyes will now need more than ever after the Athletic reported on Monday (21 March) that Jarrod Bowen may miss both legs of the Europa League quarter-final with Lyon.
“Benrahma has done OK but I still feel him, Lanzini and Fornals are all on the brink,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Would they get in any other top-six, top-seven side? I don’t think so.
“If West Ham do want to push on next season they need another couple more forward players who can score more goals. Man City are going to get better, Chelsea are.
“Even the likes of Leicester and Everton, if they stay up, are going to strengthen. Aston Villa are too, Wolves are going to strengthen.
“Getting into Europe this season is not guaranteed and next season it’s going to get even tougher to get into the top-six.”

Bowen is West Ham’s leading scorer this season with 12 goals in 39 games across all competitions.
They managed to progress past Sevilla to the Europa League quarter-finals without the Englishman.
In other news, West Ham are to let a £17million star go as Moyes makes up his mind.
