Kieran Maguire salutes West Ham as ‘very lucrative’ new deal announced

West Ham have firmed up their relationship with a “very lucrative” sponsorship industry thanks to their new deal with Soccer Supplement.

That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the latest news from the Hammers’ commercial department.

West Ham first became involved with Soccer Supplement, their official sports nutrition partner, in August 2019.

The Irons announced on Wednesday (3 August) that they have extended the terms of their partnership with the company to “broaden their involvement across the whole club.”

The sports science department at Rush Green will also now work with Soccer Supplement to create “bespoke products designed to meet our players’ exact needs.”

The East London club trousered £19.4million in commercial income in 2020-21, the last financial year on record.

Maguire claims that it is no surprise to see West Ham fortify their relationship with Soccer Supplement given their leverage as a big brand in the sports science game.

“Sports science is multi-sport,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re a gym bunny, cyclist or boxer, it’s a very lucrative and expanding market.

“You can understand why they want to align themselves with a good-looking brand such as West Ham. They will only be too happy to oblige.

“It’s all a case of broadening and diversifying in terms of access to different markets.
