‘West Ham set for £2m boost after deal agreed’ – Stefan Borson

West Ham are set for a £2million boost after a new sponsorship deal has been agreed at the London Stadium.

The Hammers, who finished 14th in the 2024-25 campaign, will kick off the new Premier League season against Sunderland, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest in August.

Off the pitch, West Ham have agreed a new front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with BoyleSports, with the Mail reporting on 11 June the agreement is worth £12million.

The Irish betting firm is set to replace Betway as the new sponsor despite a ban on gambling deals coming into effect from the 2026-27 season.

Finance expert Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider a multi-year deal is likely only worth around £10million for West Ham at this moment in time.

West Ham deal ‘another warning sign’ for Premier League clubs

Borson insisted West Ham’s new deal is “another warning sign” about front-of-shirt partnerships, with Chelsea yet to reach a permanent agreement.

He told Football Insider: “You have to take the money you can get.

“I think it tells you where the market is because what it means is that they can’t get better than that on a multi-year deal right now.

“The limit probably for a multi-year deal for a team like West Ham at the moment is about £10million a season.

“That’s in a market inflated by betting companies.

“When the betting companies are out of the front-of-shirt market, what’s that sponsorship market going to look like?

“It’s another one of these warning signs about the attractiveness of the Premier League in sponsorship terms.

“I think it’s all a bit disappointing at the moment in terms of what people have been able to do with front of shirt.”
