West Ham fans aren’t happy with the way Julen Lopetegui was treated
Lopetegui had been linked with a departure from West Ham for weeks, as pressure mounted following a series of poor performances that left the club hovering near the relegation zone.
Football Insider revealed in December revealed that Graham Potter had emerged as the leading contender to replace him.

Now, the Englishman is set to take on the daunting task of navigating the Hammers through a potential relegation battle.
With Potter waiting in the wings, the sacking of Lopetegui seemed inevitable.
However, fans have expressed outrage over the manner in which the club handled Lopetegui’s exit. Many were particularly frustrated that he was allowed to continue leading training sessions despite the board’s clear intent to dismiss him.
One fan criticised the treatment of the coach, calling it “disgusting” while another labelled the situation “shambolic by the club”, and a third called it “shocking”.
Amid the backlash, some supporters have also praised Lopetegui for his conduct during the ordeal. One fan remarked that the former Real Madrid coach “shows his professionalism” despite the “absolute circus” at the club.
In other news, West Ham are working on a deal to sign this position as a priority this month.
