West Ham news: Medical expert predicts Ryan Fredericks return date – ‘here we go again’
West Ham star Ryan Fredericks will likely be out of action for two or three weeks while he recovers from yet another groin injury.
That is the view of injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
Fredericks had featured in three of the Hammers’ last four matches until he was taken off at half-time in the 1-1 draw with Newcastle on 19 February.

The 29-year-old right-back was later revealed to have suffered a groin strain.
As quoted by football.london last Friday (25 February), David Moyes confirmed the news before he revealed the setback is “not too bad.”
Dinnery analysed the defender’s situation and suggested when he could be available once again.
“It’s not a particularly severe one,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“Moyes has kept his cards very close to his chest this season. He’s been reluctant to go into specifics about who’s available and who isn’t.
“Groin injuries are nothing new with Fredericks. They must have been thinking ‘here we go again’.
“Of his six previous injuries, five of those have been groin-related.
“Coufal is out of the equation but you have Ben Johnson and Aaron Cresswell. I suspect he’ll be out for two or three weeks.“

Fredericks has been the Hammers’ third-choice right-back behind Vladimir Coufal and Ben Johnson this term.
Coufal is also out with a groin injury after going under the knife last week.
