West Ham star Nathan Trott agrees terms with FC Copenhagen – sources
West Ham United goalkeeper Nathan Trott has agreed personal terms with FC Copenhagen, sources have told Football Insider.
Trott is in talks to join the Danish club for a fee of around £1.5m after been given the green light to find a new club.
This comes following West Ham’s agreement to sign Wes Foderingham on a free transfer from 1 July, as reported by Football Insider on 30 May.
Turning 26 later this year, Trott is in desperate need of regular football having only played one senior match for the Hammers, a substitute appearance in the FA Cup against Doncaster Rovers in 2021.
The free transfer of Foderingham will see Trott leave for a profit on the exchange, alongside an experienced Premier League goalkeeper to play back-up to Alphonse Areola at the London Stadium.
West Ham United allow Trott to leave the club
West Ham have held off until being able to recruit an experienced stopper as a free agent before giving Trott the green light to depart.
Football Insider revealed on 2 June that the Hammers would wait to secure a replacement back-up before allowing Trott to leave, which has now been arranged.

For Trott, the need to kick on in his career is paramount, having found himself down the pecking order and gaining his experience through a series of loan spells – the most recent of which a previous spell in Denmark with Vejle, where he made 51 league outings.
A nominal fee recouped for the Hammers will go into the kitty for an ambitious summer of transfer business as the Julen Lopetegui era begins in East London.
In other news, West Ham hold a strong interest in one of the Championship’s star performers from last season.
