Declan Rice tipped to sign new West Ham deal on one condition after £100m reveal
The only chance West Ham have of tying Declan Rice down to a new contract is if they finish in the top four this season.
That is the view of ex-England shot-stopper Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 22-year-old midfielder.
Elite Premier League clubs have long been linked with Rice, who is under contract at the London Stadium until 2024.

This site revealed in July that West Ham are preparing to offer him a blockbuster new deal to keep him sweet for another year.
Speaking to Sky Sports on 24 October, Moyes said: “There was a bargain to be got with Declan at £100million. That bargain has now gone.”
The Hammers 1-0 victory over Tottenham on 24 October lifted them into 4th place in the Premier League standings.
And Robinson insists that they have a chance of keeping hold of Rice next summer if they can maintain their position.
“Declan Rice’s future will be dependent on West Ham’s season,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“We know they got into the top six last season. Can they do it consistently over a season now and get into the Champions League?
“We are yet to see if West Ham can match his ambitions and the level that he wants to be at.

“If they are in the Champions League at the end of the season, he may well sign a new contract.
“But unless they are in those top-four spots at the end of the year, I can’t see him staying.”
