Gabriel Agbonlahor has tipped West Ham to buy Jesse Lingard and one of Odsonne Edouard or Tammy Abraham if they qualify for Europe.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Aston Villa captain stressed the importance of the Hammers adding another striker if they are to compete in either the Europa League or Champions League next season.
Finance guru Keiran Maguire told Football Insider that West Ham could pocket up to £120million if they are to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
They currently sit in fourth in the Premier League despite their 2-1 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.
The Star report the Irons have out-of-favour Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham top of the striker shortlist ahead of the summer window.
West Ham insider Ex-WHUEmployee claimed in January that Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard was also a target.
This site revealed during the winter window Celtic had slashed the asking price of the Frenchman to £25million.
“West Ham are going to wait until the end of the season and see where they finish,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“If they’re in Europe they’ll go again and buy an Abraham or an Edouard.
“They’ll see what Lingard has done and get him on a permanent.
“They’ll keep trying to improve their team and not let where they are just let it be one season. They’ll want to stay up there at the top of the table and improve their squad.
“I’m sure the West Ham owners will give Moyes a bit of money to spend.
“That’s all they’re missing. Michail Antonio has been outstanding but when he’s missing they need someone else.
“They need an Edouard or an Abraham just to add pressure. Antonio is not getting any younger so you want a fresh young striker available.
“If they’re in Europe too it’s even more football for Antonio to play so they need another striker.”
