Kieran Maguire: West Ham could now emulate ‘big’ Arsenal deal and attract new generation of fans

West Ham will win favour with Generation Z if they sign a sponsorship deal with the Prime drinks brand.

That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the likelihood of an alliance between the Hammers and Prime.

The Sidemen, a group of UK YouTube stars, visited the London Stadium last Sunday (28 November).

Among them was KSI, founder of the Prime drinks brand alongside fellow YouTuber turned combat sports athlete Logan Paul.

He tweeted to his 8.4million followers the following day that “Prime will be sold here soon”.

Prime, whose sports hydration drink is flying off the shelves in the UK, already have a sponsorship deal in place with Arsenal.

The Irons could now match the Gunners by signing off on a permanent deal with Prime, forecastsMaguire

“There’s no doubt that influencers attract Gen Z,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.

“If there is a big Gen Z following at West Ham, the benefits of having a product linked to the likes of KSI will help the club.

“The club will reap the rewards of that further down the line as well as in the short-term with this deal.

“Financially, It can help in two ways. First of all, it will have an effect on the number of products sold. Also, it will generate cash from the fee that Prime will pay to sponsor the club.
