West Ham to complete striker signing imminently – ‘it will happen’
West Ham have been backed to sign a striker during the January transfer window after being devastated by injuries in recent weeks.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson admitted the club “have to” strengthen in this area before the window closes.
Julen Lopetegui’s side have only scored 23 goals this season in 19 Premier League fixtures, which is why the club is looking to bring in a new striker this month.
The club have lost both Antonio and Jarrod Bowen to injuries which have further stretched the Hammers attacking numbers.
West Ham must strengthen their attacking options
“They have to, West Ham have to [buy a striker]” Robinson told Football Insider.
“I mean, that’s one of the guarantees this window.
“With the injury to Antonio, there was talk about them getting a striker before the window even opened, before Antonio had his awful accident.

“So, with him injured out for the season, with Bowen out long term, they’ve got no option.
“That’s one signing that has to be made in the window is West Ham and a striker.”
