West Ham told double-your-money Ward-Prowse offer will be accepted – Agbonlahor
West Ham must accept paying double the price for James Ward-Prowse before the start of the season, which is two weeks away.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed that Ward-Prowse is exactly the type of player that the Hammers need to sign.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on Wednesday (26 July) that West Ham are continuing talks over Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse with a deal now believed to be very possible,
Talks have continued over the past few days after an initial bid made of around £20m by the London side for the 28-year-old.
Agbonlahor believes that Ward-Prowse has shown he has the calibre to be valued at double what the Irons have offered for him so far.
“Ward-Prowse is worth £45million,” he told Football Insider.
“He offers goals and assists, alongside set-pieces and being a senior professional.
“He also has experience and I think he is worth the money.

“West Ham need to get their act together and Ward-Prowse would certainly be a player who bolsters their midfield.
“I would definitely look to pay the money for him as the Hammers need signings before the end of the season, so it would be important that they get him through the door.”
