West Ham transfer news: Kurt Zouma transfer plan revealed after expert left ‘raging’
David Moyes is keen to keep club captain Kurt Zouma at West Ham if he signs a new contract this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Moyes is out of contract at the London Stadium this summer and it is believed his future is key to keeping Zouma, 29, with the Londoners.
The ex-Chelsea defender has been widely linked with Saudi Pro League clubs in recent transfer windows.
He will have just 12 months left to run on his contract at West Ham at the end of June.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Moyes will want to keep Zouma at the club unless the financial offer is too good to turn down.
Moyes wants to keep big-earning Zouma at West Ham
The Scot made the Frenchman the new club captain last summer (2023) after bringing him to the club in 2021.
Moyes has confirmed he has been offered a new deal at the London Stadium – with his current contract set to expire in June.
Zouma has made 23 appearances across all competitions so far in the 2023-24 campaign, scoring one goal.
The Lyon-born ace reportedly earns £125,000-a-week at the London Stadium, making him one of the club’s highest earners.
He was recently slaughtered by Football Insider pundit and former West Ham striker Frank McAvennie, who said Zouma is “terrible”, “can’t run anymore” and “should be dropped”, adding he has been “raging watching him” of late.

Moyes’ side are mid-table in the Premier League and will play Europa League knockout stage football next month.
Zouma and Morocco international Nayef Aguerd have built a strong partnership since the latter arrived at West Ham in 2022.
