Jarrod Bowen 'has an agreement' to leave West Ham days after signing extension
Jarrod Bowen has an agreement with West Ham United that he will be allowed to leave if they fail to achieve promotion this season.
The 29-year-old put pen to paper on a contract ammendment earlier this month which saw him commit his immediate future to the club despite their relegation.
He has opted to snub interest from a number of Premier League clubs in favour of staying at the London Stadium in an attempt to lead his club back up to the top flight.
However, former West Ham scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Bowen's contract agreement will likely allow him to leave the club if they do not win promotion.
The winger's immediate aim is to help Nuno Espirito Santo lead his side to the top of the Championship, but if they endure another disappointing season, they will face new concerns.

Former Tottenham scout Bryan King told Football Insider on 23 July that Bowen is repaying West Ham's faith and loyalty to him by deciding to stay at the club.
The winger's close family ties to the London Stadium are also likely to have played a key role in the decision, alongside a meeting with the minority owners in Czechia.
However, the agreement was reached based on ambitions of a return to the Premier League, and if they fail in that aim, Bowen will be looking to move on.
"Bowen has agreed to stay at West Ham with a plan to be in the Premier League again next season," Brown told Football Insider.
"But come the end of the season, if they're falling behind or look like they're going to miss out, the speculation surrounding him is going to come back up again.
"Interest from these clubs isn't going to go away, they're going to be keeping a close eye on the situation at West Ham.
"It's not a foregone conclusion that they will go straight back up into the Premier League, many clubs have gone down, planned to bounce back up, and failed.
"I expect Bowen has an agreement with the club that if they miss out on their goals of promotion, he will be allowed to consider his options.
"Of course, everybody wants them to bounce straight back up and then it won't be a problem, but there's a long way to go and winning promotion is not an easy task."

Following their relegation from the Premier League, West Ham have been forced to consider offers for their best players, despite being reluctant to weaken their squad.
Mateus Fernandes has completed an £85million move to Tottenham, while Crysencio Summerville now appears to be closing in on a £60million move to Saudi Pro League outfit Al Hilal.
Meanwhile, Brown told Football Insider on 20 July that West Ham were ready to accept big offers for Bowen and had explored selling him before his contract renewal.
The Hammers were open to raising funds through the player's sale, as they believed they could maximise profit despite suffering relegation to the Championship.
That came amid growing interest from a number of Premier League club, but Bowen quickly made it clear he had no plans to move on, changing the club's stance.
