Stefan Borson: Amanda Staveley to West Ham 'twist' is possible after deal agreed
Amanda Staveley's investment at West Ham United is all but over, but there are signs of a future deal being possible.
That is according to former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that Daniel Kretinsky's deal is likely to end any hope Staveley still had.
The former Newcastle United figure was in talks to purchase a significant share from the Gold Family at the London Stadium, at the expense of Kretinsky.
It has now been confirmed, however, that after confusion and frustration, the Czech businessman has struck a deal with the remaining shareholders, including David Sullivan, to increase his shares to 46 per cent.
Staveley had agreed to purchase 25 per cent, and was even in attendance as the Hammers beat Wolves 4-2 on Tuesday, 1 September.
Many supporters are now wondering what this could all mean for Staveley investing in the future, and Borson has not completely ruled out a deal at the London Stadium.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson believes that Staveley coming aboard is "probably dead" barring any future "twist".
"Well, he's becoming the biggest shareholder, Kretinsky, because there's an agreement with David Sullivan," he said.
"But it's probably dead for [Amanda] Staveley, I would think. So I think the most likely scenario is that she's looking for another club.
"But, if she was there midweek, then maybe there's a twist. I don't know because Kretinsky's got 46 per cent."
Attending a game as recently as last week certainly does add a layer of confusion to the situation. But for now, Kretinsky's deal would appear to have ended that story.
