‘West Ham will be thrilled by Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham latest’
West Ham star Mohammed Kudus has emerged as a concrete target for Tottenham as they look to bolster their attacking ranks.
It has been widely reported that Spurs are in talks with club and player over a summer deal for the 24-year-old, who could be sold for £60million despite having a £85million release clause.
Kudus’ stock has dropped in European football after a below-par 2024-25 campaign which saw him score just five goals across all competitions.
Nevertheless, Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (1 July) that Newcastle are also weighing up a move for the winger after missing out on Joao Pedro and Bryan Mbeumo.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – claimed West Ham will be “very happy” after the latest development in the race for Kudus.

West Ham could be happy to see Kudus go, says Wyness
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted West Ham fans are not “totally enamoured” with Kudus and could be happy to see him go.
He is under contract with West Ham until June 2028 after joining two years ago for a fee of around £38million including add-ons.
Wyness insisted Tottenham should be aiming higher than Kudus this summer.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “The West Ham fans have not been totally enamoured with him.
“I think £60million is a high price and I think West Ham would be very happy with that money.
“Look, we’ve got to see. I don’t think the fact that they’re in, you know, north London will make any difference for Kudus. It’s going to come down to what the manager wants for his squad.
“I would hope Frank might be aiming a little bit higher and a little bit more quality.
“Arsenal and Spurs are in the same sort of market for players right now and that’s going to be the competition going on, so let’s see what can happen.”

Besiktas enter race for West Ham target
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (30 June) that Besiktas have entered the race for Everton and West Ham target Kyle Walker-Peters.
Walker-Peters, 28, has confirmed he will quit Southampton this summer and the right-back is available on a free transfer.
Besiktas are now ready to table a lucrative offer to Walker-Peters – who has an admirer in manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
