Why Bournemouth must deeply fear Andoni Iraola exit, it’s more than Man United’s interest
Man United’s interest in Andoni Iraola is not the only reason why Bournemouth should be fearing the worst.
Football Insider revealed in September that Iraola remains on Man United’s shortlist should they decide to pull the trigger on Ruben Amorim, who has experienced an upturn in results.
The Red Devils completed a dramatic turnaround against Crystal Palace on Sunday, 30 November, to ensure that it remained just one defeat in their last seven games.
But despite one of Iraola’s biggest admirers now climbing the Premier League table, the Cherries are not yet out of the woods when it comes to potentially losing their manager.

Bournemouth’s concerns over Andoni Iraola will not disappear
Iraola has long been linked with the Tottenham job, having been a candidate before Thomas Frank was hired, and the new manager now appears to be fighting to keep his tenure alive.
Tottenham are keen to stick with Frank, Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider, but supporters in North London are already frustrated by the former Brentford’s boss’ results in recent weeks.
In addition to these links, the manager’s contract only runs until the summer of 2026, and now, it appears that this won’t be addressed until later in the campaign.
It is understood that Bill Foley is “desperate” to tie Iraola down, but with the manager leaving the club sweating over his future, the Cherries might need a succession plan in place.
Bill Foley must put a succession plan in place after Bournemouth manager
Bournemouth are not foolish. They knew how much of a coup it was when the Spaniard put pen to paper all the way back in July 2023, and again when he added another two years to his contract.
However, the 43-year-old much prefers to work on a one-year rolling contract.
With the number of stars who have already been sold, and more who could be sold in the coming months, it gives him a very easy out if not everything goes his way at the Vitality Stadium.
Many supporters expected him to walk away following the departures of Milos Kerkez, Dean Huijsen, and Illia Zabarnyi. If Antoine Semenyo is next, those fears will come straight back.
So much is riding on where the Cherries finish in the Premier League this season, plus how much Foley backs him in the transfer market, but it feels more and more likely that Andoni is further out the door than inside.
