Wolves ace Matheus Cunha sends ‘it’s time’ message after Man United news

Wolves striker Matheus Cunha has taken to social media to send a message to supporters following the latest developments around his future.

The Brazilian has been in outstanding form this season, scoring some vital goals that look as though they will keep their side in the Premier League.

That has led to growing speculation around his future, with Man United now joining Arsenal and Nottingham Forest in the Cunha race ahead of the summer transfer window.

Indeed, the striker has recently suggested that he is keen to move on in the summer, as he targets silverware in his career.

For now though, it appears he is still relishing the prospect of playing for Vitor Pereira‘s side in the coming weeks.

Matheus Cunha looks ahead to playing return

Cunha has not played for Wolves since being sent off in the FA Cup defeat to Bournemouth, after lashing out at Milos Kerkez in the final moments of extra time.

Having now served his four-match ban for that offence, the 25-year-old is in line to return to action when his team host Tottenham at Molineux on Sunday (13 April).

Wolves will be pleased to have striker back

Football Insider Verdict

It is hard to imagine many Wolves fans will have been pleased with comments from Cunha making clear his desire to leave the club.

As a result, the reception the striker receives when he returns to action for Vitor Pereira’s side may well be an interesting one.

Even so, there can be no denying that it is going to be a boost for the club to have him on the pitch for the final weeks of the season.

Wolves are going to want to end a difficult campaign in a positive way, especially given the extra prize money they can earn if they can climb a place or two in the table.

Being able to use a player of Cunha’s quality boosts their chances of doing that, and so having the Brazilian available again is undeniably a good thing for the club.
