Wolves defender agrees personal terms to quit Molineux, multi-million bid submitted

Wolves defender Emmanuel Agbadou looks set to leave the club this month after agreeing personal terms with Turkish giants Besiktas.

Wolves‘ form has improved in recent weeks as they look to make a fight of staying in the Premier League under Rob Edwards.

The former Luton boss has led his side to four games without a loss since a 1-1 draw with Man United on 30 December, with wins over West Ham and Shrewsbury Town and another stalemate against Everton.

They look set for a busy second half of the January window as the dominoes fall around numerous moves either in or out of Molineux, but Mateus Mane will not be leaving Wolves after his recent breakthrough into their first team.

One senior star who could be on his way out is Ivory Coast international Agbadou, with Besiktas now advancing in a move for his services.

Agbadou agrees terms with Besiktas but Wolves want a bigger fee for his services

Agbadou has featured 34 times for Wolves since a January 2025 move from French side Reims, with 16 of those appearances coming so far this term.

He has been representing Ivory Coast at AFCON for the last three weeks, but now that they have been knocked out, Besiktas have entered talks to sign Agbadou on a loan-to-buy deal this month.

A new report from Turkish reporter Yagız Sabuncuoglu states that Besiktas have reached an agreement with Agbadou over personal terms.

The Super Lig giants have reportedly submitted an official €2million (£1.7m) loan bid for his services, with a €10million (£8.6m) buy option installed for the summer.

Wolves reportedly want their offer to be increased and the payment plan to be changed, so a move is seemingly not imminent until a full agreement is reached.

Jorgen Strand Larsen could follow Agbadou out of Molineux this month

Strand Larsen‘s future has been up in the air for months after he failed to secure a move away from Wolves in the summer, with Newcastle interested in his services.

He netted a hat-trick against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup on Saturday, after a tough run of form that had seen him score just three times in his 23 appearances prior.

Football Insider revealed on Wednesday that Nottingham Forest have made contact with Strand Larsen and plan to submit an offer for his services soon.

Everton have discussed signing Strand Larsen too, while Tottenham and Crystal Palace have also been linked, so the 25-year-old could well depart alongside Agbadou before the end of the January window.
