Wolves fans tear into Rob Edwards for ‘crazy’ decision he made with his job on the line
Wolves fans are stunned at how Rob Edwards could allow Tolu Arokodare to take a penalty after looking at his record from the spot.
Arokodare missed a penalty at Crystal Palace which contributed to Wolves losing 1-0 at Selhurst Park, their 20th defeat of the Premier League season.
Ladislav Krejci’s sending off was also a pivotal moment in the match as Evann Guessand’s 90th minute goal sealed victory for the hosts, and an important three points in their battle to stay up.
Wolves failed to build on their 2-2 draw against Arsenal, as Edwards’ side remain with just one win all season at the bottom of the Premier League table.

Rob Edwards made ‘ridiculous’ penalty decision
Data revealed that Arokodare has only scored five of his nine penalties that he has taken, with the striker not a reliable scorer from the spot.
Krejci and striker Adam Armstrong had much higher conversion rates and were on the pitch at the time of the penalty.
Goalkeeper Dean Henderson saved the penalty, with one fan claiming she knew Arokodare would miss as soon as he stepped up to take it.
Some fans have called for Edwards to go, with one calling it a “strange” decision to allow Arokodare to take the penalty if they knew about his mixed record.

Rob Edwards fighting for Wolves future
Edwards may not have the full backing of the fans or the ownership, as the 43-year-old still needs to convince some that he is the right man to lead Wolves in the Championship.
Whilst results may not matter with Wolves all but certain of playing in the second tier next season, they could prove crucial to Edwards remaining at Molineux.

Edwards has only been able to win three of his 19 games in charge in all competitions, with two of them coming against League Two opposition in the FA Cup.
Starting the season at Middlesborough, and having won promotion to the Premier League with Luton, Edwards has credible experience in the Championship ahead of their return to the division.
Edwards left Middlesborough chasing the Championship title when he made the decision to move to Wolves back in November.
