Medical expert reveals real reason for Ruben Neves overseas trip amid ‘desolate’ Wolves claim
Wolves star Ruben Neves has spent the international break in Portugal to boost his morale as he steps up his injury rehab.
That is the view of injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
Neves, 25, suffered a knee injury 15 minutes into the eventual 3-2 defeat to Leeds United on 18 March.

Birmingham Live reported last Tuesday (29 March) that the sidelined midfielder has spent the international break in his native Portugal.
He is also understood to have seen a specialist accompanied by a Wolves physio.
Compton will have been a “desolate” place over the international break and a change of environment will have done Neves some good, claims Dinnery.
“It’s good for the player and his morale,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“I think that is particularly the case over the international break. Compton might be pretty desolate while a lot of players are away.
“So, what better than to go and get a bit of sun on your back in your homeland? You can maybe start the early stages of that rehab and recovery.
“That sets the tempo, puts you in the right mindset and leaves you ready to kick on when you return to Wolves.
“He will have the focus and the target to return to play before the end of the season.”

Neves has chipped in with four goals and two assists in 31 outings this season.
Bruno Lage’s 8th-place side are next in action against Aston Villa on Saturday (2 April).
