Medical expert salutes ‘remarkable’ Jonny after Wolves pictures emerge today
Jonny Castro Otto’s recovery from two knee ligament injuries has been “remarkable” – he could be back in action for Wolves within a month.
That is the view of injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
Jonny has been absent since he suffered an ACL injury in April this year that came just weeks after he returned from another six-month lay-off.

But the 27-year-old left-back has been pictured back in first-team training today (30 December) by Wolves’ media team.
Dinnery predicts that the Spaniard could return to competitive action shortly after the winter break.
“This was a difficult one,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“It was a recurrence of his ACL rupture in his right knee. It was his ACL and MCL this time around.
“The initial setback put him out for around six months. At the turn of this year, it will have been around eight months for this injury.
“I would err on the side of caution and add that extra month, so it will have been nine months.
“We know a return before that nine-month period means your chances of a recurrence are enhanced significantly.
“They reduce month on month by about 50 per cent. The longer you can leave these things, the better it is.
“We know he is a quick healer. To return after six months from his first injury was pretty remarkable.
“He looks well on schedule. We are maybe looking at the end of January or the beginning of February based on what we know. “

Jonny has made just eight appearances over the last two seasons.
In his first two campaigns with the club, however, he netted three times and registered five assists in 87 outings.
