Wolves vs Arsenal postponement latest as Met Office issues new weather warnings
Arsenal’s trip to take on Wolves at Molineux on Wednesday is at risk of postponement after the Met Office warned against snow.
The Gunners are due to take on the Premier League‘s bottom club in a fixture that was rearranged due to the Carabao Cup final.
But on Tuesday, the Met Office issued yellow weather warnings for Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas, posing a serious threat to the game’s chances of going ahead.
Several games have been placed at risk this week, with freezing conditions set to cause disruption across the country.
Officials will be keeping a close eye on the pitch at Molineux, ahead of a decision to be taken on Wednesday morning.

Arsenal will hope to see Wolves clash go ahead
It has been a bizarre few weeks for Arsenal, who, despite winning five of their last six games across all competitions, have looked to come under intensified pressure.
After beating Sunderland, the Gunners looked to be in a superb position, especially with chasers Man City due to take on Liverpool at Anfield.
Arsenal form
Arsenal 4-0 Wigan Athletic
Brentford 1-1 Arsenal
Arsenal 3-0 Sunderland
Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea
Leeds United 0-4 Arsenal
And many would have been in dreamland when Dominik Szoboszlai’s goal briefly saw Mikel Arteta’s side nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
A late comeback saw Man City close the gap back to six, however, and a disappointing draw away to Brentford last week has seen the lead now cut further to four points.
Arsenal got back to winning ways in the FA Cup against Wigan Athletic on Sunday, however, and will hope now to put some of that pressure back on Man City by extending the gap back to seven points on Wednesday.
For that, however, they will need the game to go ahead in the first place – a requirement that has been placed under threat by the incoming snowfall.

Wolves vs Arsenal protocol in place
Officials from Wolves will have already contacted the referee for Wednesday’s game, Paul Tierney, amid the warning being put in place, as per protocol.
Tierney will be tasked with travelling early to Molineux on Wednesday morning to survey the pitch and the surrounding areas.
Even if he is happy to allow the game to continue, conditions will continue to be monitored throughout the day.
Both the conditions of the stadium and the roads surrounding it will be brought into consideration, with safety prioritised.
