Wolves will ‘reluctantly’ accept £40m’ offer from Nottingham Forest
Jorgen Strand Larsen could force through a move to Nottingham Forest at the end of the January window if Wolves’ chances of Premier League survival lessen even further.
Strand Larsen‘s future has been up in the air for months after he failed to secure a move away from Wolves in the summer, with Newcastle interested in his services.
He netted a hat-trick against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup on Saturday, after a tough run of form that had seen him score just three times in his 23 appearances prior.
Football Insider revealed on Wednesday that Nottingham Forest have made contact with Strand Larsen and plan to submit an offer for his services soon.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the Norway international could force a move to the City Ground this month to bolster Sean Dyche‘s attacking options.

Strand Larsen could join Forest amid Wolves’ £40m demand
The 25-year-old netted 14 times in 38 games last term while on loan at Wolves from Celta Vigo, but has failed to replicate such form in the Premier League this season.
His quality shone through against League Two Shrewsbury on Saturday, however, and he could be a smart signing for Forest this month as Dyche aims to increase his firepower in the final third.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “Nottingham Forest, they’re also pushing for Strand-Larsen, keeping a very close eye on him. They’ve made contact to try and sound him out over a move to the City Ground.

“This one might drag on right until the end of the window. If somebody does pop up a big offer of around £40 million, then Wolves reluctantly might accept it, especially if their chances of survival have gone down even more.
“If he was to push for the move then something might happen. He might think this is the right time to get out of Wolves and make that move to another Premier League club.“
Tottenham and Everton are also in the race to sign Strand Larsen
Strand Larsen last scored against Burnley on 26 October, but his poor form has not dissuaded numerous top-flight teams from chasing his signature this month.
Football Insider have revealed that Tottenham are eyeing a move for Strand Larsen right now amid their own struggle for goals under Thomas Frank.
Everton have discussed signing Strand Larsen too, while Crystal Palace have also been linked, but the 25-year-old looks unlikely to move to West Ham after they pulled out of the transfer race following two new striker arrivals.
