Wolves' push for a Premier League return in 2026-27 is already off to a bad start as rumours emerge over Tolu Arokodare's future.

The 25-year-old came to Molineux Stadium last summer, surrounded by plenty of excitement and expectation, but he struggled in his first season.

In 38 games, just one season after notching 23 goals and five assists for Belgian side Genk, the striker registered just six goals and two assists.

Of course, with just three of these coming in the Premier League, he failed to make enough impact to keep the Old Gold in the top flight.

Now, rumours are beginning to spread about a potential exit, with clubs in Italy being credited with interest ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

This has hardly been helped by news emerging from the training ground on Wednesday, 22 July, that he had refused to train

That is according to Wolves journalist Nathan Judah, who revealed that Arokodare's refusal to train forced Cesar Peixoto to cancel the entire session.

Unsurprisingly, the centre-forward has rebuffed the rumours in a very emotional message on social media, despite growing reports of his desire to leave.
