‘Worried’ pundit claims ‘most of Leeds United team’ thinking about leaving
Leeds United must sign several top players this summer to keep “most of the first team” happy.
That’s according to former Whites stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about how the club can prove its ambition to players who will be targeted by other clubs.
Leeds announced the signing of Brenden Aaronson, 21, from RB Leipzig on Thursday (May 26), their first senior signing of the summer.
Kenny claims Leeds will have the sign more players like Aaronson to keep the rest of the senior squad happy.
“We know there is interest in the likes of Phillips and Raphinha,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Everyone is talking about them leaving but Leeds have other good players as well.
“I’m just worried about bids coming in for some of those other players.
“Cooper is a quality centre-back, will there be interest in him? We know the goalkeeper is still young, could he move?
“I think there will be a lot of interest in a lot of players. It’s up to them whether they want to leave.
“That’s why I think Leeds need to be bringing in players, proving they are going to improve.
“Most of the first team will be thinking about their futures.”

Leeds secured their Premier League status on the final day of the season (22 May) after beating Brentford 2-1.
During their first season back in the top flight they finished ninth.
In other news, an expert has claimed Leeds United will ‘spend big’ and sign nine senior players this summer.
