Wrexham in talks for permanent Issa Kabore transfer as Man City exit meeting scheduled
Wrexham have opened talks with Manchester City over a permanent move for right-back Issa Kabore.
That is according to Africa Foot, who have revealed that the Red Dragons are making advancements to try and keep hold of the loanee, who has been a crucial part of their push for promotion this term.
The former Luton Town man is set to enter the final year of his contract at the Etihad Stadium in the summer, and as a result, his parent club are open to the idea of cashing in on him at the next opportunity.
Wrexham have outlined the 24-year-old as a “strategic priority” for their summer business, and have scheduled a meeting to try and move towards a deal in the coming days.

Man City price tag revealed for Issa Kabore
Kabore is still yet to make a senior appearance for City since joining them from Belgian side Mechelen in 2020, and he may see his time with them finally reach its conclusion this summer.
He spent last season split across two separate loan spells with Benfica and Werder Bremen, but made just 12 combined league appearances across the entire campaign.
The defender has been a key figure for Wrexham in their push towards the Premier League this term, as he has already started 17 league games for Phil Parkinson’s men.
That has seen the North Wales outfit outline him as a top priority for the end of the season, and it seems as though City will be receptive to their advancements.
Kabore’s parent club are understood to be willing to sanction a sale for between £1.7million and £3.5m this summer, a figure which Wrexham will pay serious consideration to meeting.

The Burkina Faso international impressed during his previous taste of the Premier League with Luton, and Wrexham have faith in him to be a useful option if they were to get promoted this season.
Wrexham play-off chances revealed
Wrexham are currently occupying sixth place after the latest round of midweek action in the Championship, which saw them beat Portsmouth 2-1 at home on Tuesday.
The Red Dragons have now lost just one of their last seven league games, and have built up a four-point gap to Southampton, who are their nearest challengers for a place in the top six at the moment.
Their strong run of form has been reflected by Opta, whose latest prediction of the final Championship table has Parkinson’s men retaining their current position, while finishing on 70 points.
The duo of Southampton and Birmingham are expected to run them close to sneak into the post-season promotion shootout, but neither are likely to be able to sufficiently close the gap.
