Yan Dhanda undergoing Hearts medical today after deal agreed – sources

Yan Dhanda will undergo a medical on Wednesday at Hearts ahead of a free transfer move to the Scottish Premiership club, sources have told Football Insider.

A full agreement is already in place between the Jambos and Dhanda, who finished his time with Ross County at the end of the 2023-24 season.

The 25-year-old midfielder had played for the Staggies since 2022 and had been a regular for the club until deciding to move on this summer.

Providing his medical goes to plan today, Dhanda should be a Hearts player by the end of the week, securing his move in time to kickstart with pre-season.

Yan Dhanda brings experience to Hearts

The Englishman has a wealth of experience to bring to the Jambos, having gone through Liverpool’s youth system before moving to Swansea City.

Dhanda made 63 appearances for the Welsh club before switching to the Scottish Premiership, where he’s been a crucial member of the team for Ross County.

His absence will leave a genuine hole in the heart of the Staggies midfield after playing 79 games for the club during his two-year spell at the Global Energy Stadium.

During that time, he contributed 12 goals and 18 assists, showcasing the attacking qualities he’ll be able to bring to Hearts.

While Hearts are looking to strengthen the squad, they could end up losing last season’s top goal scorer as Rangers have an interest in Lawrence Shankland.

Football Insider revealed that he’s an option for the Gers, and Hearts would struggle to turn down a “really big” offer for the Scottish international.

In other news, Celtic could sell up to seven players this summer.
