Yoane Wissa aims ‘shocked’ message to Thomas Frank after Brentford beat Leicester
Yoane Wissa sent a message directed at Thomas Frank on social media after Brentford thrashed Leicester in the Premier League.
Brentford delivered a dominant performance at the King Power Stadium, securing a resounding 4-0 victory over Leicester on 21 February.
Wissa, who has been in outstanding form this season, wasted no time making an impact. He broke the deadlock just 17 minutes in after a perfectly weighted assist from Mikkel Damsgaard.
Despite Bryan Mbeumo being linked to a move to Newcastle, he remained focused and added his name to the scoresheet. Christian Norgaard also found the net in the first half before Fabio Carvalho sealed the win after the break.
Following the match, Wissa shared a message directed at manager Frank while celebrating the performance.

Yoane Wissa continues to shine at Brentford this season
The forward shared a collage of photos on Instagram from the match, including a moment with his coach, alongside the caption: “Even Thomas is shocked by the journey… Thank you [Vitaly Janelt].”
The 28-year-old has been a key figure for the side this season, scoring 13 goals and providing two assists. He has made 27 appearances in all competitions, starting 22 times in the Premier League, proving his importance to Frank’s side.
Wissa was linked with a move to Nottingham Forest in the January transfer window, but Brentford successfully fended off any interest to keep hold of him.

Wissa and Mbeumo have formed a formidable attacking partnership this season, contributing a combined 35 goals and assists. Their impressive performances have drawn interest from top clubs, with Arsenal closely monitoring Wissa, while Newcastle continue to be linked with Mbeumo.
Brentford fans pushed for the club to keep Wissa in the winter window, recognising his importance to the squad—particularly after Ivan Toney’s departure as he has stepped up in the striker position.
With big clubs circling, Frank will hope his attacking duo can maintain their focus as they prepare for their next Premier League fixture against Everton on 26 February.
