Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo react as Brentford issue new contract announcement
Brentford attacking duo Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa have both reacted to a major contract boost for the club.
Both players have been key to another successful season for Thomas Frank‘s side thanks to their excellent form in front of goal, although that has attracted attention from elsewhere.
Earlier this season, Football Insider revealed that Nottingham Forest are in a strong position to sign Wissa this summer.
Meanwhile, the likes of Arsenal, Newcastle and Man United are understood to be chasing Mbeumo ahead of the return of the transfer window.
But while Brentford have been unable to secure the futures of those two players as they look, they have at least made positive progress to do so with another important player.

Yehor Yarmoliuk secures new deal
Earlier this week, Brentford confirmed that Michael Kayode has turned his loan move from Fiorentina into a permanent one, and they have now backed that up with more player business.
On Thursday (29 May) the Bees announced that Yehor Yarmoliuk has put pen to paper on a new contract with the club.
The 21-year-old joined the club from Dnipro in his native Ukraine, on a contract until the summer of 2028, with the midfielder since becoming a regular feature for the club.
As a result, it has now been announced that Yarmoliuk has extended his deal with Brentford until the end of the 2030/31 season.
With the club posting confirmation of that deal on their Instagram page, both Wissa and Mbeumo appeared keen to show their support for their teammate by liking that post.
Brentford can be pleased with latest business
Football Insider Verdict
Given the interest there is in their two top attacking assets, new contracts with the club for the duo look to be out of the question for now.
That will be frustrating for Brentford given how much they will want to keep them, although the time left on their deals means they can at least demand decent fees.
In the case of Yarmoliuk though, there is now no need for the Bees to worry about any of that for a long time to come yet.
The 21-year-old is looking like a player who can become an important asset for them in the future as he continues to improve with experience.
This therefore ensures they will not have to worry about the sort of interest Wissa and Mbeumo are attracting as he does so, meaning Brentford can be satisfied with their forward planning here.
