Yves Bissouma facing axe from Tottenham XI after latest development – expert

Alan Hutton has claimed Yves Bissouma will be axed from the Tottenham starting lineup.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs right-back said Bissouma needs to buy into Antonio Conte’s style of play.

On Thursday (6 October), this site revealed that the 26-year-old had been snubbed by Conte due to tactical indiscipline.

The £25million summer signing has only made two starts for the London club since his arrival from Brighton.

Bissouma was in the starting lineup for the Lilywhites against his old club on Saturday (8 October).

He was replaced by Richarlison for the final 20 minutes of the 1-0 victory.

Hutton insisted the Mali international needs to continue to obey Conte’s instructions or risk returning to the sidelines.

Conte has obviously worked hard with him,” he told Football Insider. “Bissouma is a great player, he has had to bide his time.

He did play him against Brighton, he brought him in to be more solid.

If Antonio Conte wants to play a specific way, you have to buy into that as a footballer. If you do not, you will not play it is quite as simple as that.

If he has worked with him and he has not seen that improvement, then he is not going to play.

He is going to have to show the manager that he can take this on board and play to the style that the manager wants.

If Conte is frustrated with Bissouma and he is not taking on instruction then it is quite simple.

He is going to have to get up to speed with that if he wants to get a regular game within the team.
