Zinchenko sends ‘strong’ message to Gabriel Jesus after Arsenal announcement
Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko has sent a message to Gabriel Jesus on social media after it was confirmed he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury against Man United.
The ex-Man City teammates both featured in the FA Cup tie against the Red Devils but the Brazilian was taken off in the 40th minute.
The Gunners lost on penalties and suffered another early round exit after a 1-1 draw despite Gabriel Magalhaes equalising for the North London side.
The Ukraine international took to Instagram after the club confirmed he suffered an ACL injury. He posted on his story and said “My Brother. Comeback stronger”.
Arsenal could look to cut losses on Zinchenko and Jesus
Following Jesus’ injury, Arsenal fans have called for the club to sign a striker. This is to strengthen their forward options, which are now looking light with Kai Havertz the only available striker.
Zinchenko has been linked with a move away from the club. The Gunners are open to letting him leave should an suitable offer arrive.

Football Insider revealed in November that the Ukrainian is one of three first-team stars Arsenal were keen to sell in an attempt to raise funds.
He has made just 11 appearances this season, with only two starts in the Premier League. He has also dropped down the pecking order behind players like Riccardo Calafiori and Myles Lewis-Skelly.
Football Insider verdict
The latest reports suggest Borussia Dortmund are among the clubs interested in Zinchenko [via Florian Plettenberg on X]. A move could generate the necessary funds for Arsenal to reinvest in their squad.
However, the club are prioritising other areas at the moment amid reports of move for Martin Zubimendi. The injury to Jesus may force them into the market but their long-term plan may be a future without him.
In other news, Arsenal have been told to offload their defenders in order to sign Alexander Isak.
