‘Absolutely howling’ – Rangers fans react to reported new away strip
Rangers fans are eagerly awaiting the club’s new kits to be released and after a report claimed to show the Gers new away kit, Gers fans didn’t seem impressed with the purported ‘leak.’
According to the Daily Record, the Gers could be turning out in a white away shirt, featuring a Union Flag design as they begin a new deal with Danish kit-makes Hummel.
Gers fans weren’t impressed with the image – or any of the mock-ups which have appeared online – as they wait for news on when they can get their hands on the new strips – with one saying it was “absolutely howling.”
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:
The Gers have yet to announce when the news strips will be launched but will be wearing them when Steven Gerrard’s reign as manager gets underway on July 12th in the Europa League.
After ending the club’s retail agreement with Sports Direct, Gers fans are eager to get their hands on club merchandise after a previous boycott related to Sports Direct owner Mike Ashley.
Several mock-ups have appeared online, with some even being made and sold in Turkey – with an orange strip doing the rounds on social media previously.
The Gers away strip has traditionally been white or red, although the Gers have used other colours such as orange or purple in the past.
