Agbonlahor: Aston Villa may have Gomez deal and one other signing ‘lined up’ after source’s reveal
Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested Steven Gerrard may have already lined up two centre-backs to join Aston Villa this month.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Aston Villa’s record Premier League goalscorer suggested Joe Gomez could move to Villa Park as Kortney Hause is keen to join West Ham.
Football Insider reported on Saturday (15 January) West Ham have opened preliminary talks over a January deal and Hause is very open to a return to the club he began his career at.

He is out of contract at the end of the season but Villa have the option to extend his deal by a further 12 months.
The 26-year-old is firmly behind Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa in the pecking order and has managed just 11 Premier League starts since the start of last season.
“I really like Hause,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Whenever he comes in for Konsa or Mings he never does anything wrong, he’s always reliable. I’m sure he will be one that Steven Gerrard will be looking to keep at the club.
“We don’t know yet what Gerrard thinks of every player. He has to decide himself on players like Hause and players out of contract.

“He could have two centre-backs himself lined up. Joe Gomez has been talked about so we don’t know what Gerrard’s got lined up.
“But every time I’ve seen Kortney Hause he’s performed well. If I was him, I’d want to play more but you have to look at the quality in front of him, Konsa and Mings have a great partnership.”
