Agbonlahor issues four-word claim on Jude Bellingham signing for Liverpool after source’s talks reveal

Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold’s efforts to get Jude Bellingham to sign for Liverpool will have no effect on his decision, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted it will be Bellingham’s agent and Dad who will have a “big say” on his future.

The 19-year-old has less than three years left to run on his contract at Borussia Dortmund and has been continually linked to a move to Liverpool.

Sources told Football Insider earlier this month (1 October) that both Henderson and Alexander-Arnold begged him to move to Anfield while on England duty during the recent international break.

It is understood that Bellingham laughed off the pleas of his teammates who he likes and respects.

Asked whether it could have an impact on the midfielder’s decision, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Not at all, no.

“Whatever he decides, I’m sure his agent will have a big say in it, his Dad too. They will choose the right club for him.

“Whether that’s Liverpool, whether that’s Man United, whether that’s Bernardo Silva leaving and he goes to Man City or whether that’s Real Madrid you don’t know.

“I’m sure he will go to the club that him and his agent decide.

“Not players trying to tell him to go to them, that won’t work.”

Bellingham has played 103 times across all competitions, registering 34 goal contributions in that time.

The 17-cap England international has five goals in 19 Champions League games.
