Agbonlahor: Lundstram told to consider Rangers move after big Ibrox update
Sheffield United midfielder John Lundstram will struggle to find another Premier League club and should seriously consider a move to Rangers.
That is the view of former Aston Villa and England striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider suggested only those promoted from the Championship will consider a move for the 26-year-old when his contract expires in the summer.
This site revealed earlier this week Lundstram is not considering a move to Ibrox despite Rangers’ interest and he is considering multiple other offers.
The former England Under-20 international broke his silence about his future last week and revealed: “everything’s still on the table”.
Blades boss Chris Wilder has been resigned to losing Lundstram since November when the club confirmed he would not be signing a new deal.
“I don’t think he’ll get another Premier League club to be honest,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“The only type of Premier League club I can see going for him is one that comes up. Whether that’s a Bournemouth, a Watford, a Swansea. That’s the sort of club I could see him going to.
“Then it’s his choice over whether he would rather go there or Rangers.
“But Rangers are a massive club so he should consider going there.”
Lundstram has played over 100 times for Sheffield United across all competitions and has been a mainstay in the Premier League this season.
His 108 games for the Blades have yielded eight goals and nine assists.
In other news, a top pundit has claimed a Steven Gerrard friendship was key in a Rangers exit last month.
