Agbonlahor on Liverpool selling Luis Diaz to Barcelona after ‘dream’ reveal
Luis Diaz will never be “Barcelona or Real Madrid standard” and has to concentrate on performing for Liverpool, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker delivered his verdict after Diaz revealed his childhood “dream” of playing in La Liga.
The 25-year-old admitted to Colombian magazine SoHo last month (23 November) that he wants to play for a Spanish club when asked how far he wants to go in the game.

He also insisted that his sole focus currently was “making history with Liverpool”.
Diaz moved to Anfield at the end of the January transfer window from Porto in a deal that could be worth up to £50million and signed a five-and-a-half-year deal with his new club.
The Colombian international has been an instant success on Merseyside and has 10 goals and eight assists in 38 games across all competitions for the Reds.
Asked whether Diaz has the ability to quit Liverpool to join a Spanish giant, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “He’s got time.
“I don’t think he’s ever going to be Barcelona or Real Madrid standard but I do think he’ll play for a Spanish club.
“He’s just got to concentrate on getting fit, do his talking on the pitch and put in top performances for Liverpool.”

Diaz has not featured for Liverpool since suffering a knee injury in their 3-2 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates on 9 October.
Sources told Football Insider last week (27 November) that he is ahead of schedule in his recovery and is set to be in contention for Liverpool’s League Cup game Man City on 22 December.
In other news, Liverpool are in talks to terminate a loan deal.
